We manage two unit trusts:

Bateleur Flexible Prescient Fund – a flexible asset allocation fund launched in 2010, which aims to produce returns in excess of inflation over the medium term whilst placing a premium on protecting investor capital
Bateleur Equity Prescient Fund – a South African general equity fund launched in 2012, which aims to generate returns in excess of the JSE Shareholder Weighted All Share index over the medium to long term

Fund Description

A flexible asset allocation fund formed under the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, 2002. The investment style is asset allocation, with a bias towards equities (which is the manager’s core area of expertise). The fund’s mandate is to invest in an appropriate combination of securities including listed equities, listed bonds, listed property and cash. The investment objective is to generate returns in excess of inflation over the medium to long term, whilst placing a premium on protecting investor capital. The fund was started in July 2010.

Fund Description

An actively managed South African general equity fund formed under the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, 2002. The fund’s mandate is to invest in listed equities on the JSE that the portfolio manager deems to be undervalued relative to the JSE Capped Shareholder Weighted Index (CAPI). The investment objective is to generate a return in excess of CAPI over the medium to long term. The fund was started in 2012.
